Lisa Norman

Director, Central Healthcare Services

Central Healthcare Services has been on the PharmX gateway since its launch. All its pharmacy customers use PharmX to transmit orders on a daily basis.

We’ve been with PharmX from the beginning.

PharmX is the most cost-effective and efficient way for pharmacy to order from suppliers. If you wish to do business with retail pharmacy, you have to join the PharmX Gateway.

Central Healthcare Services has utilised the PharmX gateway to receive electronic pharmacy orders since its launch. Both cost effective and efficient, it has enabled our Customer Service team to focus on servicing customers better, rather than simply taking orders. In addition, orders are processed faster and potential delays minimised.

We encourage any pharmacy to use PharmX and experience the benefits this electronic order facility can provide.

We started using PharmX because we wanted an independent ordering platform in place so that we could have a consistent way of ordering for multiple pharmacy suppliers.

It’s a pharmacy-industry system which means all the major suppliers are on the PharmX Gateway. It doesn’t matter what systems you use, the PharmX Gateway talks to them.

We started using PharmX because we wanted an independent ordering platform in place so that we could have a consistent way of ordering for multiple pharmacy suppliers.

We tell our suppliers that we want to place orders through our existing systems, which means PharmX. The gateway is reliable and consistent, and more and more suppliers are coming onto the PharmX Gateway. The benefit for us is in being able to have the same process for ordering out and receiving goods in - no matter who we are ordering from.

We have our own warehouse so we already had similar ordering systems in place. The major factor for us was that it’s a pharmacy-industry system which means all the major suppliers are on the PharmX Gateway. The other bonus is that the gateway is completely independent of the systems you use in your pharmacy and of the systems suppliers use. It doesn’t matter what systems you use, the gateway talks to them.

The fact that you send your orders and receive your orders the same way means that you don’t have to worry too much. That enables you to spend more time and concentration on your customers.

It’s an easy way to handle processing your orders to suppliers. You can take away the non-electronic way of doing things which means you don’t need paper or faxing. Instead you can just run all your orders through the one system.

We’ve been using PharmX for the last four or five years. We did it purely for ease and convenience to be able to retrieve invoicing without having to manually do it. It saves a lot of time.

Our customers and staff benefit because the time it saves in data entry means that my pharmacy manager has more time to spend with them both.

We have found it’s been very good. We use it with our large pharmaceuticals supplier. The benefit is the speed of loading invoices. The pharmacy assistant putting it through saves a lot of time. It could save you hours depending on how many orders you put through. There’s greater accuracy as you have no data entry in relation to the product or pricing, and pricing is kept up to date more accurately. You also save with sending invoices you save on not having to fax.

At the end of the day, customers benefit because the time it saves in data entry means that my pharmacy manager has more time to spend with customers. The pharmacy can also save by not having extra wages on data entry, and this is potentially reflected in pricing.

Pharmacies are mad not to use it.
